How OpenCauldron fits together
OpenCauldron has a few core pieces. Once you know how they nest, the rest of the product follows. This page is the map. Each term links to its full guide.
The shape at a glance
Section titled “The shape at a glance”Studio (your team's shared workspace)│├─ Brand — one per client, division, or project│ ├─ Kit ......... the brand's style rules│ ├─ Members ..... people, with roles│ └─ Campaigns ... groupings by initiative│├─ Library — every uploaded asset and AI generation│ ├─ Collections .. folders you file work into│ └─ Tags ......... free-form labels│└─ Review — Draft → In review → ApprovedRead top to bottom: your Studio contains Brands; each brand has a Kit, Members, and Campaigns; the work itself lives in the Library; and team work moves through Review before it’s final.
Studio
Section titled “Studio”Your Studio is your team’s home — the shared workspace that everything else lives inside. Teammates are invited into the studio and given a studio role: Owner, Admin, or Member. To invite people and set studio roles, see Members.
Brands
Section titled “Brands”A Brand is one client, division, or project. You create as many as you need, and everyone also gets a private Personal brand to use as a scratch space. Brands keep each client’s work, style, and people separate. See Brands.
Each brand holds three things:
- Kit — the brand’s style rules. Prompt text added to every generation, banned terms, a color, a logo, and a default model add-on. The Kit shapes what the brand produces. See Brands.
- Members — the people on the brand and what each can do. Brand roles are Manager, Creator, and Viewer. A teammate can hold different roles on different brands. See Members.
- Campaigns — groupings by initiative, like a launch or a seasonal push. Campaigns sort a brand’s work for filtering and reporting, and can be shared as a public gallery. See Campaigns.
Library
Section titled “Library”The Library is your digital asset manager — one place for every brand asset your team uploads (shoots, logos, kits) and every image and video you create. See Library.
You organize the Library two ways:
- Collections — folders you file work into. They nest, so you can build a structure like
2026 Launch / Hero shots. See Finding assets. - Tags — free-form labels you attach to any asset for quick filtering across collections. See Library.
The same Library serves both kinds of work. Uploaded brand assets and AI generations sit side by side, filterable by brand, campaign, collection, tag, and status.
Review
Section titled “Review”Review is how team work becomes final. An asset moves through three states: Draft (you’re still working), In review (submitted to the brand’s Managers), and Approved (signed off). A brand Manager approves or rejects each submission. See Review.
Work on your Personal brand stays as a draft and skips review — only assets on a team brand can be submitted.
Assistant (beta)
Section titled “Assistant (beta)”The Assistant is an in-app AI helper that knows your Library and your brands, so you can ask for what you want in plain language. It’s in active development, so expect it to grow and change.
