Finding assets
A growing library can hold thousands of images and video. The search box, the search-ranking setting, Find similar, and the filters work together to get you to the right asset fast. Everything here works in The Library, across both uploaded files and generated media.
Search the library
Section titled “Search the library”Type in the Search assets… box at the top of the Library. Results update as you type. Press / anywhere on the page to jump to the box, and press Esc to clear it.
What search matches depends on the ranking mode you pick — see below.
Choose how results rank
Section titled “Choose how results rank”Next to the search box is a ranking control that shows the current mode (the default reads Hybrid). Open it to switch between three ways of ordering results:
| Mode | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Text | Ranks by the exact words in prompts, filenames, and tags | Finding an asset when you remember its name, a tag, or wording from the prompt |
| Hybrid | Blends word matching with how an image looks — the default | Most searches, where you want both wording and visual match to count |
| Similar | Ranks by how an image looks, not by exact words | Describing a look you can’t name precisely (a color, a mood, a composition) |
A few things to know:
- Hybrid is the default and covers most searches. Switch only when you want to favor exact wording (Text) or favor look (Similar).
- Ranking applies once you type a search. With an empty box, the mode you pick is set aside for your next search.
- Your choice sticks for the session, so you can run several searches the same way.
Find similar
Section titled “Find similar”To find assets that look like one you’re already viewing, open any asset to its detail panel and click Find similar. The grid switches to a Similar assets view, ordered by how close each match looks to the one you started from, with the heading “Nearest matches to” that asset.
Find similar works on both uploaded and generated assets, which makes it useful for:
- De-duplicating a photo shoot — spot near-identical frames and keep the best one.
- Finding variants — gather every take on the same concept that’s scattered across the library.
- Building a set — pull together assets that share a look without hunting by name.
To leave the view and return to your normal grid, click Back to library.
Two messages can appear instead of matches:
- Still indexing — the asset was added very recently and isn’t ready for visual search yet. It’s usually ready within a few minutes; check back shortly.
- No similar assets — nothing else in your library looks close to this one yet. Add more assets and try again.
Narrow with filters
Section titled “Narrow with filters”Filters cut a long result list down to what you need. Combine them with search, or use them on their own to browse.
- Brand — the brand selector in the top bar scopes the whole Library to one brand’s assets. See Brands.
- Campaign — show only assets tagged to a campaign.
- Tags — match one or more tags. Switch the match mode between Any (OR) (assets with any selected tag) and All (AND) (assets with every selected tag).
- Collection — show only assets in a collection.
Open Filters for the rest:
| Filter | Options |
|---|---|
| Source | Uploaded, Generated, Imported |
| Status | Draft, In review, Approved, Rejected, Archived |
| Rating | One to five stars; pick more than one to match any of them |
For how to add tags, collections, and ratings so assets are findable later, see Uploading & organizing.
