XP, levels & feats

OpenCauldron tracks your activity as you create. Every generation earns XP, XP raises your level, and milestones earn you feats. It is a light layer on top of your work — nothing here gates day-to-day creating, with one exception (video, covered below). You can see all of it on your profile.

XP is added automatically when a generation finishes. You never claim it.

How much you earn depends on what you made:

What you madeXP
An image with a top-tier model (such as Flux 2 Pro, Imagen, Ideogram, Recraft)10 XP
An image with a faster, lighter model5 XP
A video up to 5 seconds25 XP
A video longer than 5 seconds50 XP

If you use the Auto model picker, OpenCauldron chooses a model for you and you earn the XP for whatever it picks. See Models for how model selection works.

Feats also grant XP — see Feats below.

Your total XP sets your level. There are eight levels, each with its own title:

LevelTitleXP to reach
1Apprentice0
2Herbalist50
3Alchemist150
4Enchanter400
5Warlock800
6Archmage1,500
7Mythweaver3,000
8Elder6,000

Level 8 (Elder) is the top. Your profile shows a ring around your level number with how much XP is left to the next one, or Max level once you reach Elder.

Video generation opens up when you reach level 3, Alchemist (150 XP). Until then, you create images. Once you reach level 3, video tools appear automatically — there is nothing to switch on. Your profile shows a Video Access marker next to your name once it is available.

This is the only capability tied to a level. Everything else — brands, campaigns, the library, review — is available from day one.

Feats are badges for reaching a milestone. Like XP, they are awarded automatically the moment you meet the condition; there is nothing to claim. Most feats also grant a one-time XP bonus.

Your profile shows all feats in a grid. Ones you have earned are highlighted and show when you earned them; the rest stay dimmed with a lock until you reach them.

InfernoKeep a 30-day creation streak+100 XP

A streak counts the run of consecutive days on which you made at least one creation. Make something every day to keep it going; miss a full day and it resets. Your current streak shows next to your name on your profile while it is active.

Both need video, which opens up at level 3.

If you are already organizing work into brands, this one arrives on its own.

A few feats are given rather than earned through activity. They carry no XP and mark a role or history:

FeatWhat it means
Early AdopterJoined in the first month
AdminA studio administrator
FounderThe studio’s creator and owner

Everything above shows on your profile, alongside your stats:

  • Your level ring, title, and total XP
  • Generations — your all-time count of creations
  • Favorite — the model you use most
  • Member since and your current streak
  • Your feats and a grid of your Recent Creations

Level-ups and feats also post to your studio’s Activity feed, so teammates see when you climb a level or earn a feat. See Your profile for the full page.

If your studio has the Leaderboard turned on, it ranks the top creators across three boards:

BoardWhat it ranksWindow
Top GeneratorsNumber of creations madeThis month
Most FeatsTotal feats earnedAll time
Highest XPTotal XPAll time

Each name links to that person’s profile. Top Generators starts fresh at the beginning of each month; the other two are all-time.

XP and feats are about momentum, not gatekeeping — they sit alongside the limits that govern how much you can create. For those, see Usage & limits.
