Billing
Cauldron bills on two things, and only two: seats for the people who create, and credits for video. Everything else — images, storage, brands, campaigns, review, connected AI tools — is included.
Find it at Settings → Billing, available to studio Owners and Admins.
A seat is a person in your studio who can create.
| Monthly | $20 per seat, per month |
| Annual | $16 per seat, per month, billed yearly |
Everyone in your studio’s member list holds a seat — Owner, Admin, and Member alike. All three can create, so all three are seats. There’s no cheaper tier of member.
A pending invitation is not a seat. You’re charged when someone accepts, not when you invite them.
Your seat count follows your member list automatically. Add a teammate and your subscription quantity goes up; remove them and it goes down. You never adjust a number by hand.
Clients and reviewers are free
Section titled “Clients and reviewers are free”A client who only needs to see and sign off on work doesn’t take a seat, because they’re not in your member list at all — they review through a shared campaign link rather than an account in your studio. That’s structural, not a discount tier: there’s nothing to downgrade and nothing to forget to cancel.
See Members & roles for who belongs in the studio proper.
Images are included
Section titled “Images are included”Generating an image never draws down a balance. It’s covered by your seats, subject only to your daily limit, which exists to stop runaway loops rather than to meter you.
That includes images from Workflows, from the Tools, from the in-app assistant, and from connected AI tools. An image is an image.
Video runs on credits
Section titled “Video runs on credits”Video is genuinely expensive to produce, so it’s prepaid rather than bundled.
Prices are cost-plus and published. What you pay for a clip is the provider’s list cost plus a 40% markup, and both the markup and the resulting per-model prices are shown on the billing page. There’s no second, hand-maintained price list to drift out of date — the rate card is derived from the same cost data the generation itself uses, so what you’re quoted and what you’re charged can’t diverge.
Because prices follow provider costs, they move when providers move theirs. The billing page is always current; treat it as the source of truth rather than any number quoted elsewhere.
Topping up
Section titled “Topping up”Add credit in packs of $25, $50, or $100 from the billing page.
If your balance can’t cover a clip, the generation is refused before it starts and you’re told the shortfall. You never half-spend on a video that won’t finish, and you never get a surprise bill for one that did.
Managing your subscription
Section titled “Managing your subscription”From Settings → Billing you can start a subscription, switch between monthly and annual, top up credits, and open the payment portal to update your card, see invoices, or cancel.
Billing changes are handled by Stripe and reflected in your studio as soon as they’re confirmed.
When billing isn’t active
Section titled “When billing isn’t active”A studio without an active subscription can still sign in and look around, but the paid capabilities are switched off rather than degraded — generation refuses with a clear message instead of failing oddly. Activate billing and everything turns back on; your work is untouched throughout.
